The Greater Chicago Magazine, June 1929
When the "campaign" was on to market Westchester as the dream suburb of the future the pre-depression press was often supportive. We have previously posted to our site portions of the Westchester Tribune issue which was very optimistic to the plans of William Zelosky, Samuel Insull and the other entrepreneurs of Westchester.. (SeeWestchester Tribune Sept 28 1926 banner.)
The Greater Chicago Magazine, June 1929 issue, also got into the optimistic spirit.
Here we display some of the pages from that issue with key text.
The rest of the Greater Chicago Magazine, June 1929 issue, contained other "interesting" articles, but none which focused on Westchester or Proviso Township.
